Scherzinger Estate Winery always produced exceptional wines. Yet restaurants, retailers and consumers were not clamoring for their product.
Might it of been their Deutsch-inspired brand name? A re-branding initiative was in order.
Brandever uncovered a local, turn-of-the-century story of a Chinese laundry in the Okanagan Valley that also served as a bordello. We coined the name “Dirty Laundry”. An eyebrow-raising name that begged for this titillating story to be told.
For packaging, we opted for a crisp white label, a red iron and a swirly steam pattern. Upon closer inspection of the steam design, some curvaceous nudes are uncovered.
We introduced Dirty Laundry to the crème-de-la-crème restaurants in British Columbia. They all raved about it.
The winery won numerous wine awards, and captured the Best Label Design medal at the 2005 Okanagan Fall Wine Festival.
Dirty Laundry became an overnight sensation. Sales instantly increased 525%. And now, Dirty Laundry Vineyard has another problem: … keeping up with demand.
